Job Description: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for patients with mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage medications for patients, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Offer therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in psychiatric care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry.
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Job Description: Therapist
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and identify therapeutic needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices tailored to the client’s needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing
- their specific goals and challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of all client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Must hold a current and active license in the state of Maryland (e.g., LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT).
- Must be in good standing with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or other relevant approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Employment Type and Schedule
This position is available as either full-time (40 hours per week), part-time (20 hours per week), or fee for service. We offer a flexible hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work.
